June 2002 Newsletter REGISTRATION FEES FALL 2002 BAND
Thanks to the fund-raising efforts of the Band Parents Association, Registration Fees will still be $50 for the 2002/2003 school year. (Families with 2 or more children in the Music Program will pay $50 for the first child and $25 for each additional child.) Payment may be made in full or by three cheques of $16.75 each, dated Sept. 15, Oct. 15 and Nov. 15, 2002. Payment in full at Early Registration (see Fall 2002 Band Registration Info in this newsletter) will receive a 10% discount (cheques may be post-dated for September).
RENTAL FEES FOR 2002/2003
Students renting instruments from the Band Parents Association will pay rental of $20/mo. for 8 months ($160/school yr.). Payment may be made by post-dated cheques, or, one payment of $100 by Sept. 15. Shared instrument rental will be $10/mo. with mouthpieces $10 extra.
FALL 2002 BAND REGISTRATION
The Band Parents Association will be taking over Music Registration in the Fall. ALL STUDENTS taking Music/Band for the 2002/2003 school year MUST register IN PERSON WITH A PARENT/GUARDIAN. Early Registration will take place on June 5th, 5:30 - 6:30pm at Brooklyn District Elementary School and on June 10th at Hants West High School, 5:30 - 7pm before the June Concert. Families who pay registration fees in full will get a 10 % discount off registration fees. Cheques may be post-dated to September, 2002. There will also be registration sessions in August and early September.
MUSIC TEACHER
A new Music Teacher will be taking over grades 7 & 8 Band in the Fall.
PENNY AUCTION
Thank you to all the Band Parents and students who helped set up, sell tickets, contribute baked goods, and work at the Penny Auction. We had such a great turn-out that we ran out of tickets! We apologize to those people we had to turn away at the door.
SUMMER CAMP BURSARIES
We have extended the deadline for summer camp bursaries for HWRHS band students. Students may apply in writing to the Hants West 2nd Band Parents Assoc.
